Every year we experience sin, suffering, and evil in the world and in our own lives. The reality of humanity’s brokenness cannot be escaped no matter how hard we try. The curse of sin runs deep. 

 

But love and grace run deeper. Though winter runs its course, the sunrise of Christ’s birth was the long-awaited dawning of redemption. Christmas is hope for the suffering sinner because it was the birth of our Suffering Savior.
