👉 1. God created us for his glory
"Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth,... whom I created for my glory" (Isaiah 43:6-7).
👉 2. Every Human Should Live for God’s Glor
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31).
Because God created us for His glory, we are called to live for His glory. Our purpose shapes our responsibility. We honor God by finding our deepest satisfaction in Him—this is the heart of loving Him (Matthew 22:37), trusting Him (1 John 5:3–4), and giving thanks to Him (Psalm 100:2–4). This joy in God is the foundation of true obedience, including loving others (Colossians 1:4–5).
👉 3. All of Us Have Failed to Glorify God as We Should
“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
To “fall short of the glory of God” means we have not valued, trusted, or treasured Him as we should. We have sought satisfaction in other things, treating them as more important than God—this is the essence of idolatry (Romans 1:21–23). Since sin entered the world, our hearts naturally resist finding joy in God alone (Ephesians 2:3). This rejection of God is a serious offense to His greatness (Jeremiah 2:12–13).
👉 4. All of Us Are Subject to God’s Just Judgment
“The wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23).
By preferring other things over God—through ingratitude, distrust, and disobedience—we have dishonored His glory. Because of this, God is right to judge sin. Scripture warns of eternal separation from His presence (2 Thessalonians 1:9).
Jesus Himself spoke about hell more than anyone else in the New Testament. His warnings are not myths but expressions of love from the One who came to rescue us. Ignoring them is spiritually dangerous.
If the Bible ended here, we would have no hope. But this is not the end of the story.
👉 5. God Sent His Son, Jesus, to Provide Eternal Life and Joy
“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners…” (1 Timothy 1:15).
The good news is that Jesus died for sinners and rose again to prove the power of His saving work (1 Corinthians 15:20). Because of His death, God can forgive guilty people and still remain just (Romans 3:25–26). “For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring us to God” (1 Peter 3:18). True and lasting joy is found in coming home to God.
👉 6. The Benefits of Christ’s Death Belong to Those Who Repent and Believe
“Repent…that your sins may be wiped out” (Acts 3:19).
“Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31).
To repent is to turn away from the empty promises of sin. To believe is to find our satisfaction in all that God offers us through Jesus. He promises, “He who believes in me shall never thirst” (John 6:35). We cannot earn salvation—it is a free gift of God’s grace (Romans 3:24; Ephesians 2:8–9). We receive it by cherishing Christ above all things (Matthew 13:44). When this happens, God’s purpose in creation is fulfilled: He is glorified in us, and we find our joy in Him—forever.
🤔 Does this make sense to you?
If you desire the joy that comes from being fully satisfied in Jesus, that desire may be a sign that God is already at work in your heart.
Turn away from the empty promises of sin and call on Jesus to save you from its guilt, punishment, and power. “All who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13). Place your hope in everything God offers you through Jesus, and fight sin by trusting that God’s promises are far more satisfying than sin’s lies. Begin reading the Bible to discover these “precious and very great promises” that lead to true freedom (2 Peter 1:3–4). Find a Bible-believing church where you can worship, grow, and walk with others who treasure Christ above all (Philippians 3:7).
The best news in the world is that your deepest happiness and God’s holiness are never in conflict. When you are fully satisfied in all that God is for you in Jesus, you honor Him as your greatest Treasure.
“You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” (Psalm 16:11)
